Samir Chalal
Chief Executive Officer & Project Director
Samir brings more than 28 years of experience in IT consulting, ERP transformation and systems integration. He has led international SAP programmes spanning SAP R/3 through S/4HANA, connecting business priorities with solution architecture and delivery.
Experience & qualifications +
He holds an Executive MBA from Queen's School of Business. His experience covers cloud transformation, SAP and non-SAP integration, business-case development, change management and risk assessment. At Sefar, he leads company strategy, technology direction, client relationships and programme governance.
Prof. Said Dermime
Executive Director & Scientific Research Lead
Said is a senior scientist in cancer immunology and translational research with more than 30 years of academic and research experience. He has established and led research teams and facilities across the UK and Gulf region, bringing expertise in scientific strategy, study design and research leadership.
Experience & qualifications +
His career includes directing the Translational Cancer Research Facility at Hamad Medical Corporation's National Center for Cancer Care and Research and a Clinical Professor appointment at Qatar University. He holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Salford and completed postdoctoral research in Milan and at the US National Institutes of Health. His January 2026 CV lists 114 peer-reviewed publications.
